A Unique Meeting and Events Venue

A Unique Meeting and Events Venue

With 40,000 sq. ft. of world-class meeting and event space, our facilities bring together decades of expertise in event planning and a convenient location in the heart of downtown Toronto with stunning views of the city and Lake Ontario.

Spread across two full floors within 150 King St. West at the northeast corner of King Street and University Avenue, we successfully host around 2,000 functions each year including conferences, corporate training seminars, luncheons, dinners and weddings.

As a multi-purpose venue, not only are all of our rooms beautifully appointed and adaptable to meet your exact needs, but we also prepare all food in-house brought to you by award-winning chefs as well as offer full audio-visual support from certified technicians. The end result is no stress over planning, more productive meetings and highly memorable events.

Vantage Venues has it all. Led by our team of experienced event ambassadors to handle every request you might have, our meeting and reception spaces can easily be arranged in rounds, classroom or theatre style to accommodate up to 200 attendees, all with expansive windows for plenty of natural light, premium seating, high quality ventilation, wall materials chosen specifically for acoustic control and adjacent refreshment lounges or breakout rooms for small group discussions.

Given that we have two in-house kitchens and offer a variety of delectable menu options for breakfast, lunch and evening affairs at great prices, we regularly host many mid-sized or multi-day events where excellent cuisine is paramount. Our unique hospitality service also provides an exceptional array of beverages and snacks throughout the day, and complemented by the friendly service from our team.

Walking distance from all the major downtown hotels and the rest of the financial core as well as having direct underground access to St. Andrew’s subway station and the PATH system, our facilities are purpose-built for our business clientele. With an inventory of audio-visual equipment maintained onsite and a professional team to oversee any setup, at Vantage Venues you will never have to contact a third-party supplier for your technology needs.

Every space is purpose-built for presentations with large screens, additional monitors, integral sound systems and a variety of other IT tools. Access to high speed wireless internet is a standard inclusion while private wired and wireless networks can be configured for complete security. With our dedicated technology package, our team will not only handle any audio-visual installation, but also stay with you throughout the event to ensure that there’s never an issue or disruption.

Having the full support of in-house technicians combined with all of our other exceptional services ultimately translate into the best possible meeting or special occasion for your group. We’re at your disposal to answer any specific concerns you might have and to help plan your next event.

Vantage Venues opened in 1987 as The Corporate Seminar Centre and was created with the goal of providing an exceptional purpose-built meeting and training environment in the heart of Toronto.

Since its inception, these same principles have guided our business:

In 2001, we changed our name to St. Andrew’s Club & Conference Centre following a move to the 150 King Street West atop the St. Andrew’s subway station at University Avenue and King Street. This location expanded our services to include receptions and dinners in our lounges as well as dining rooms with fabulous views of the city.

All told, we have hosted over 35,000 successful meetings and events over the course of our three decades of operation. We are delighted by the loyalty we have received from our corporate clients who, we believe, return to us because of our unique venue and proven service delivery.

Vantage Venues is committed to operating as an environmentally friendly venue. We hold ourselves to the highest standard and look for innovative ways to lead the industry with respect to sustainability and social responsibility.

Key points to our strategy include but are not limited to:

  • Gold Star Certified IACC Venue
  • Minimizing waste by evaluating operations and ensuring efficiencies
  • Promoting and actively participating in recycling of all applicable products
  • Sourcing of local food ingredients
  • Donating leftover food to Good Shepherd Ministries
  • Minimizing energy use through reduction when possible, transferring to LED bulbs and using low energy appliances
  • Continued employee awareness and education by our Environmental Committee

As a tenant at 150 King Street West (managed by Bentall Kennedy), our landlords are a key partner in accomplishing our environmental goals. We are pleased to report their achievement of the Gold Certification under the Canada Green Building Council‘s LEED for Existing Buildings.

As our large reception halls and dining rooms are ideal for events of this nature, Vantage Venues is pleased to support charities that improve the lives of others.

We would also like to draw your attention to two fundraising organizations with whom we have a close personal connection with the principals involved. We invite you to learn more about their programs in case you know of someone who may have been helped by them or you have support you can offer.

Rebounders Canada

Rebounders Canada is a support group for adult survivors of childhood cancer. Often forgotten by the medical system, many survivors of childhood cancer face challenges in the adult world as a result of some of the lifesaving treatments they experienced in the past. Vantage supports Rebounders Canada by hosting monthly events, annual conferences and fundraiser dinners as well as graphic and accounting support. At Rebounders, we salute Andrew Sprawson who identified the need to search for and bring together fellow survivors and in so doing to find ways to thrive, just not survive.

Eating Disorders Foundation of Canada

Having an eating disorder is not a choice, but rather it’s a severe and debilitating mental illness. The toll that eating disorders have taken on young women and their families is immeasurable. To this end, the Eating Disorders Foundation of Canada acknowledges the need for urgent attention and is committed to raising funds to be directed towards the establishment of residential treatment programs, transition housing and ongoing research. Vantage supports EDF of Canada by hosting events in Toronto, and we would like to salute Dr. Robbie Campbell who has championed in Ontario the need for residential treatment and transition housing for those at risk from eating disorders.
